Master, Maker

Master, Maker

Sonnet

I am more than my poignancies, exceed the sum of griefs,
All the rude ills I outgrow, the sorrows many I dwarf.
All that I have lost diminishes not my single fullness,
No stumble or fall, nor sin or error, nor old strife,

Can exceed the bounds drawn by my stirless will.
Come O much maligned Night, to heart’s harbour,
Lay beside thy kindred Light, lay content and still,
For none here shall blame thy keen dark ardour.

The future to come exceeds all nameless past’s memory,
A single golden Ray drowns all my gulf infested abyss.
Night and Light lend their syllables scripting my story,
I grow kindred to all that breathes, moves and dreams.

Upon all mine parts are the sigil and banner
Of my Master, my Maker beyond all compare!
