Shy Away

Shy Away

Sonnet

Shy away O happy duets, O sweet amour,
There is another who arrives in this blue hour,
Dimmed is the rosy moon of love by this
Happy grandeur like a million-mouthed kiss!

Fold up O rainbows with thy measly seven
Hues, here is brilliance to shame heaven!
Return to thy flower homes O cloying honey
For here is a nectar apt for god’s company!

Joy and happiness like toys for little boys
A passing excitation that waning cloys.
Here is bliss like a tidal wave immense
Imposing on my earth hours its dominance.

O bodiless Beauty, O scentless Perfume,
Make of my being Thy cherished home.
