Remember Us

Remember Us

Sonnet — An Invocation to the Master #350

What reveries are there full of collisions
Of the pasts unnumbered and the present,
Herein intrude too the many futures
And am incredulous at this being’s extent.

A press of force triggers a swoon
Where this vacillating self is not,
Or the gathering of some concentration
Propels me into the realm of nought.

To remember Thy name is a valiant act
In this battle with sloth and subconscience,
From these moments with failure wrought
I wrest for Thee these drips of tapas.

Sire, O Sire, I raise to Thee pleading arms,
Remember us battling in this bonfire of worlds.
