Unravel

Sonnet

My nights set into greater nights unending,
Not even a rumour of dawn’s hope lives now.
My being’s roots spawned further roots burrowing
Into half open-close sub-conscious fields below.

My reality faded to a symbol now withers
Further into shadow semblance ungrasped.
Sans a vantage point my volition too slips
Into a repose without aim and unpurposed.

The syllables of hymns slip over my tongue,
My lips no more the God can summon,
The prayers no more the waters do bring
Leaving being’s soil all parched and done.

O Thou, stationed mute in the heart of me,
Unravel this spell, lead besides feet of Thee.
