Thus was I robbed

Thus was I robbed

Thus was I robbed

Castles I had built, peopled with dreams fair
All cherished and no room for despair.
Just once I erred so long ago
To invite the Lone God instead of my ego.

I waited long and time lost its measure
Waiting for the God and his treasure.
But now I ope my eyes and truly see
Am bereft of treasure and all semblance of me.

My God and Beloved crept during the long Night
Robbed all my becomings and my will to fight.
