Fire-Bloom

Fire-Bloom

Poem — Daily Poetry to The Master of Works #8

Gracious is the lease of a new day
And use of limbs from ill revived,
The founts of my muse barren stay
Yet must I cobble the hampered word.

Gracious is the reprieve of events
That once piled like malignant fate,
Now is only the season of inconsequence,
With meaning as a sandgrain in a desert.

Revive me O Sun, raise my drooping chin
Like a fire-bloom roused when dawn doth begin.
