Sonnet — An Invocation to The Master #232
Behold this new change taking birth,
From the cocoon of pain now emerges
A winged joy in a body of the earth,
The morning’s light casts off my sorrows.
Thy love’s fiery lasso leaps from every form
Ringing my mind and body with rapture,
Yet without am contained in a surreal calm
While my nerves in a rapt joy do quiver.
Is it thus Thou doth always dwell
Married to rapture and calm,
By Thee the supernal and infernal
Fuse to birth the spring and storm?
Whatever be the crux of Thy mystery
Be unto me the Protagonist of my story.
