Lila
Sonnet — An Invocation to The Master #176
A daily festival erupts in my mind
To honour the muses who ferry me far,
No limit is therein, no quest unattained,
In inner countries am crowned emperor.
I am my own stage and audience passionate,
A playwright of uncommon skill is within
Who scripts for me with twists replete
Many a plot with a glorious refrain.
The one Beloved has become all actors
Left me a single part to adore Him alone,
His lila fills the innumerable hours,
Oh the magic of loss only to regain!
In my heart is His heaven where we dally,
How meagre all earth that compares so poorly!
