Who Art Thou

Who Art Thou

Sonnet — An Invocation to The Master #90

Who art Thou, craftsman or alchemist,
Breeding from common clay gold-dust?
How is there an oracle on tongue
That in coded speech truth doth bring?

These eyes mine of blurréd vision
Now doth gain sight of premonition,
My ears now grow privy to harmony
That rings forever inwardly.

What magic hast Thou made mine
That in all moods to Thee doth incline,
Making this sun-besotted earth
A trysting ground for rapture and mirth.

Such a miracle is Thy single dawn
Transforming my world into veritable heaven!
