His Adventure

His Adventure

Sonnet — An Invocation to The Master #59

On a slender ridge of lonely time
I paused to ponder the onward road,
For a nearby augur did bid
To parse meaning of its symbol hymn.

In tongues of unknown speech spoke
Of cares and woes yet to be,
Peopling roads I was yet to see,
Leaving mind with a pensive make.

I thought, matters not road I venture
For the will’s gaze by Him guided,
On every road fates have afforded
I found the terms of His adventure.

Master of seasons, beyond our reason,
Blend Thy light in our parts yet human.
