Sonnet — An Invocation to The Master #12

What eye hast Thou planted then within
That miracles everywhere suddenly sees,
What new sense didst Thou just begin
That all the old five subtly augments?

A single change to perceive wonder
Has charmed my hearing and seeing,
All sights and sounds a pleasure
Routinely to my being now bring.

Unmatched shall be Thy rose red,
Thy birds like angels in aerial motion,
The babe’s infant lips blooming a word,
In all these I see Thy free benediction.

But chiefest of all Thy graces,
Hath Thou granted us with these Thy verses.
