What Art Thou

Sonnet

What Art Thou

What Art Thou

Sonnet

A cup of Thy light quenches my thirst,
In perspiration of every strenuous step
From every pore Thou again escapest.
Oh what means Thee to forever keep?

In every inbreath Thy invigorating name
Into lung and blood and bone I infuse,
But with every outbreath leavest same,
Thy name to abide here does refuse.

Heart and mind cast their sturdy net
Sailing afar into muse’s ocean deep,
All catch by dusk can hardly be kept
For they vanish allured by Night’s sleep.

What are Thou, escaping our every grasp,
As if from every know norm exempt?
