Sonnet

O Barrier-Breaker, accept our obeisance to Thee.
The hundred-rampart fortress must be taken,
The deep defended walls must be shaken.
Bring the thunder troops of thy mother Pārvati.

The obstacles are stubborn rooted within,
Thy cleaving knowledge force must impose
A revealing light’s sweep the chinks to expose
And unbar gates of soul adventure to begin.

Come then with thy brother leader bright,
Furious general heading the light armies,
Attack conjoined descending like heaven furies
Of Rudrā thy father of formidable might.

Manoeuvre us through and beyond all obstacles,
Prepare the ground to erect Krishnā’s miracles.
