Prelude

Sonnet

I exceed now the human chemistry,
Even eschew algorithm of thought.
My feelings are not from cavern of heart,
My acts are possessed by a faint artistry.

The laws of conduct have all drifted away,
Like childish props before the Spirit’s sway.
My thoughts are acts, acts are thought,
Each with intent and force is wrought.

On a borderland of imminent Dawn I dwell,
Eager light-finger Night’s knots dismantle.
His heralds prepare my body His house,
They my mind and life with light douse.

A little more than man I have become,
A preluding step for the God to come.
