New Dawn

A Sonnet

Not by this evident daily Sun,
Does my outward routine turn.
Nor by moon the tides of Night,
Crashing my being out of sight.

A strange inversion takes hold,
It upends all routine and mould.
Another Sun of unknown mint
Has strung me to its orbit.

An intent not mine takes aim,
My will and thought and heart does claim.
By a fading memory I rattle gestures,
At daily aims of human commerce.

This Sun unlike any I have known,
Dawns in mind and life and bone.
