A Sonnet

Once those streets I did roam,
Housing that shelter, hallowed home.
Where the twin cherished Suns reside,
That Maternal Might and Immortal Guide.
By that shore I roamed at dawn,
Witnessed the birth of a shining morn.
On a sky canvas He drew his moods,
To that theme my mind ever broods.
I who wandered in dingy alleyways,
Now bask in caress of luminous rays.
My night is now slowly dismantled,
The heart by His name is enchanted.
O Poet of immortal felicities,
Pen us well in all Thy histories.
