A Sonnet

Not enough these paltry senses five,
A single heart for adoration to give.
A single mind to forage and seek,
Thee in each thing grand and meek.

Only two feeble arms to do Thy will,
And two legs for this pursuit impossible.
This meagre breath and vital dwarf,
Barely express our deep poignant grief.

Helpless like an infant that bawling calls,
Its mother pursues by its laboured crawls.
O, too little is a single life of aspiring ache,
Make me many, a hundred selves striving for Thy sake.

My single self and its sole pining flame,
Is too insufficient for this Thy stupendous game.
