Meditations — Pre-Birth
A Poem
Courtesy Marc
Child-like become our members and too gestures
Akin to the animal new born into a hostile world.
Yet instinct wakes, and members wake within
Like a memory recovered in the physical.
So the new being arrives, by stumbling perfection
In mere moments or days spans evolution’s curve.
A vast field of attempts and gains in blink of an eye,
Gather’s the sweep of human attainments in a swoop.
So, the forerunner arrives, to a spectacle of rise and fall.
Yet, the forehead shines clear, no doom can pause his run
Or small gods stay his course, emissary of the Sun
He ranges through the perilous ways and shadows.
The Guest of heart, grows bigger than the thumb.
Remoulding man to a greater archetype.
