Vow

A Sonnet

In another clime I was seated before you
Awaiting Thy word, a fiat of Thy will.
Aching, willing and my heart true
Ages seemed to pass, I waited still.

The Rishis passed my way, and Siddhas
All I let pass, enraptured by Thee because
What heart, how expansive could I be
A mere squirrel, bearing a grain to Thee.

I seek Thee again, search through every lore
A seeker, a venturer sifting through every store.
What craft, what wily ruse shall I employ
To claim Thee, Thee who didst me deploy.

This I know and shall ever proclaim
I have vowed beyond time and Thee I shall claim.
