Thy Radiance
Sonnet — An Invocation to The Master #118
Am I Thy fire breathed out in mirthful moment,
A casual triumph erected by a passing mood Thine,
Like a covert totem mounted on an occult line,
Sealed to discovery by all its joy’s content.
Thy veiled smile ranges through my being,
My mind is stunned prone at its approach,
Heart aflutter in anticipation by its nearing,
Unhindered Thy smile my life doth encroach.
No longer my being an unloved archipelago
Scattered haphazard in life’s uncaring ocean,
Thy smile hath subsumed all into Thy seraglio,
My island parts sing Thy anthem in unison.
The world shalt scarcely believe our dalliance,
Yet what care to me basking in Thy radiance!
