Ruse

Ruse

Sonnet

How many spheres hast Thou infused
Into this paltry globe and our bodies too.
Each shimmering with sliver of Thy hue
Stretching little more our being widened.

Each new world adds to our inadequacy,
The mind boggles by each emerging view
Of ascending roads it can’t yet pursue
Throwing in sharp relief our incapacity.

Yet we know this too is Thy road,
One we must traverse in equality,
So we venture eschewing laxity,
Egged ever by a goad self-willed.

In Thy limited masks do not still tarry,
I have learnt Thy ruse and Thy mystery.
