Heed O World

Heed O World

Poem

Heed O world the great Goddess is here
From the auspicious beyond descended
Into the grimy fields of human sphere
And all our impossibilities have sundered.

Heed O heart Her measureless love,
Hands that plunge into Abyss and mire
Snatching our lives from the precipice,
To nurse our souls with Her mystic fire.

Heed O mind Her counsels ever true,
For all thy ruminations are from Her cast
And thee and all that is thine too,
So too this wide earth thou doth inhabit.

Heed O life, pause thy blind pursuit,
Monger no more from this ignorance
For a pittance and the lowly fruit,
In Her feet is thy brute’s deliverance.

Heed O soul, the call of thy home,
Wander no more vainly here
For there is a work to be done,
To imprint on body a trace of Her.
