Master of Journeys

Master of Journeys

Poem

The rivulet’s easy mirth and the damp soil of its birth,
A river’s passionate roar issuing from founts of lore,
The gorge’s deep hunger gorging on falling waters,
A pebble’s poise petulant mimicking mountain adamant,
The flower’s blooming cadence smiling in rich fragrance,
A pool’s placid calm diffusing the moon’s healing balm,
The sunflower’s yellow face soliciting the sun’s glance,
The pilgrim’s murmuring chant tearing his veils adamant,
The eagle’s piercing screech our thoughtless reveries breach;
In every plot of our stories is Thy hand O Master of Journeys.
