Human Span

Human Span

Poem

All words have stilled to a silence,
Only heard the tread of a lone breeze,
A hush is upon these days,
Night prowls on dream borders,
The spires of thought have crumbled,
Hamlets of commune are all abandoned.
Like a wheel released by a child in play,
Totters in declining force on the way,
The ego engines bereft of desire’s fuel,
Make all action feel hollow and surreal.
I stand on some unknown borders of man,
In confines of a room widened my human span.
