Poem

Lone I sat lost in self-rapt muse,
Lifted by wings of a lesser trance,
Into wordless worlds of magic sounds,
Each note ravaged my heart’s strings,

A shudder passed through my being,
Tossed like a ball played by passionate gods;
Each throw a meteor fling of blazing trail,
Each catch a save from dissolution’s net,

Joy strode on hoofs of thunder,
Bliss swept in a rain of heaven-dews,
In this melee the ego-I had vanished,
Only remained a sweet ocean of awareness.
