Body of Earth — Invocation

Body of Earth — Invocation

A Sonnet

Body, vital and mind, the triple cord of existence
Are fruit of the Inconscient’s blind persistence.
Against its self-made and necessary doom
Life wars to find for beauty some room.

Our little life of a prolonged moment
Oft houses the guest for mere instant.
More can be done, more is possible
Our body can be the High Spirit’s cradle.

Flesh and bone, nerve and tissue
Can reveal the Divine, death non-issue.
God in our breath, mind drunk with light
The flesh made divine is our destined right.

Come then, bring Thy retinue O Ancient One
Our body awaits dawn of Thy immortal Sun.
